Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Nothing but problems. Cheap, Flimsey,

Regretfulbuyer 10/11/2025

Bought because of the GE name. Big mistake. $800 for a cheaply made, flimsy dryer. First issue was grinding noise from drum rubbing inside machine. Then knob fell off.. Also it takes a long time to dry. Now it won't stay running unless you hold the start button in.

Faulty Dryer -2 dryers in 2 yrs

unhappy Dryer Customer 5/12/2025

This is my 2nd dryer. The 1st no longer produced heat 15 days after 1 yr warranty ended. 2nd makes a loud deep clang sound when drum rotates w/ & w/out power. Live in condo-only this style fits in the space. Bought warranty w/ Home Depot BUT HD doesn™€™t have an established service contract w/ anyone in South FL. U have to spend ur own money for repair & they might reimburse you. I™€™m not here 1/2 the yr, so it™€™s not getting a ton of use. I™€™m only 1 person. GE Spacemaker Model DSKS433EB7WW

12 yrs and going strong

Micnn 3/14/2025

After 12 yrs, my dryer is still doing great. Couple of issues though, 1. the timer knob will need lubrication if stuck (happend twice in my 12 yrs ownership). 2. My unit is sitting in the garage where it gets cold in the winter. The auto shut-off setting will not work due to, I suspect, the temp sensor unable to detect the dryness due to the ambient coldness. Workaround is to use the timer instead. So not biggy. This dryer is simple enough without fancy features, but it does wonderful job keeping my decades old clothes looking new (no kidding).

Disappointed! Sorry my old dryer pooped out!!!

GE Blooper 7/18/2024

I'm over 70 years old and throughout my life the GE brand always stood for top-notch quality, and I am extremely disappointed in the product I recently purchased. I had the GE Spacemaker Dryer last 15 years before it gave out and within two weeks of the delivery of the new one, the heat cycle turned to warm and required using the timer for 1 1/2 hours drying a reasonable load of shorts and t-shirts. This week a pounding noise stated as if something came loose in the tumbler. I'm waiting to hear from customer service.

Not like the old Spacemaker

dm444 6/28/2024

The drying time is not as quick as the GE Spacemaker Dryer that I replaced. A load of towels takes twice as long as it used to. The door does not stay open when loading it. The dial does not line up exactly with the labels.

Great Dryer for a Laundry Closet

CKA59 6/26/2024

This dryer is a replacement for the same model that was damaged from a roof water leak. It is a dryer that can hang on the wall and vent vertically thru the roof. It is the only dryer that will fit in our laundry "closet" at our condo. It hangs above the washing machine. We glued two magnets underneath the dryer that hold up the washer lid while the washer is being loaded or unloaded. We lover this dryer and it works fine!

Horrible

Victoriainn 5/8/2023

I live in an apartment and this dryer was provided and is brand new. It™€™s Horrible. Clothes actually come out wrinkled, even POLYESTER. It™€™s really hard to wrinkle polyester. Just ridiculous. I™€™ve tried all the tricks and nothing gets the wrinkles out except ironing. I haven™€™t had to iron my clothes in 15 years! I™€™ve old dryers in the past that were way better!! Now I have too purchase my own dryer and rest assured it won™€™t be GE

After making all the changes suggested by GE and repairman. The dryer still doesn't work as well as old 15yr dryer it replaced.

Fits in very small space

Gauzy 8/1/2022

When mounted on the required Stack Rack, it requires about 27.5" from front to back. I'm so glad it fit into a pantry closet - now I have everything I need on the main floor.

2 broken straight out of box

dlbwtgski 7/27/2021

We need a stackable (really need wall mount unit) with bottom controls but have received 2 of this model inoperable straight out of the box. In both cases the dryer starts running when the Start button is pressed but stops as soon as the Start button is released. The delivery/installation crew tested every cycle and heat setting with the same results on both driers. At first we tested the dryer empty, then tested with a damp rag. It may be the dryer requires a substantial load to run but we tested Air dry/Timed which certainly should just run. After the first dryer was delivered and the problem was seen I contacted GE support and the technician said it was probably a bad circuit board. It is disturbing that a second dryer has the identical problem. Another issue with this dryer is it is no longer wall mountable. The slot is on the back for the wall bracket but the back is now installed with the slots on the bottom facing upwards so the wall mount bracket will not work.

New Dryer with Defective Drum

BT2020 7/1/2020

New dryer malfunctioned first time. The drum tore up the inside plastic edge guide. Took 2 weeks to get a GE repairman since Home Depot (on-line order) would not honor or help us since we discovered this more than 48 hours after delivery. Now we are waiting another 10 days for parts. Hoping this item will work fine after replacing the drum and cheezy latch. Picture is looking down on the uneven drum.

Did not work right after install

Gram2 jm 1/15/2019

I purchased this dryer in Nov 2018. The auto dry cycles did not work from the start. The cycle would run for about 10 minutes then stop leaving the clothes wet. A repair man visited twice and it is still not working. The serviceman will not respond to my attempts to contact him. I contacted Budget Appliances who replaced the dryer. The new one has the exact same problem. I sure hope there is a fix for this.

Worse than the 30 year old dryer it replaced.

very disappointed custome 11/5/2018

Bought this dryer to replace a 30 year old GE of same design. Installed the new dryer. Motor works fine BUT the sound of the drum rubbing against the wall of the dryer is alarming. The drum is not sitting properly. What is the problem? Is it repairable?

Nervel63 8/23/2018

Example of dryer None on this page Model GJD42EASJww. Motor burned out after 28 months. GE would not do anything about it. It is cheaper to buy a new dryer than replace motor. Will do that but it will not be a GE

Very Disappointed

The Architect 12/1/2017

We bought this a month ago and it sounded strange at the beginning with a scraping sound but it was working. Two weeks later it was scraping itself apart. When repaired under warranty, they found that the blower was incorrectly installed at the factory and was scraping the walls with a massive screeching sound. As told to me, this is not unusual for this product. Disappointing to see this happening to GE.

gutsy litle dryer

Ruby socks 1/14/2017

We put this dryer in an apartment 5 years ago. Constant use. Still running great. Simple controls, simple lint filter (wish it was a bit bigger) and quiet operation. Just wish the fan had a bit more umph to force the air vertically.

Not So Good

Somewhat Dissatisfied 11/20/2015

The dryer works fine. It dries clothing well, but... It has no buzzer to indicate when the cycle ends. Half the time, I forget about it and find wrinkled clothes sitting in the dryer an hour or two later. Then there is the lint filter. First you must slide out a plastic piece and then remove a metal filter basket, which is a little hard to completely clear unless you use a dryer sheet to clear it out. Now lately, it is becoming increasingly hard to open the door. You must tug with all your might.
