Doors Swing cant be changed

I hate it. I was sold on the fact that the door swing could be switched... Manual states it can, the Home Depot Tech said it could not. Now I have an awkward situation, doors flipping the wrong way, having to put wet clothes in a basket then reload into the dryer. Terrible ergonomics. I need someone to call me. and figure out a work around.

Satisfactory Front-Loading Washer

This model does a good job overall at washing fabrics. It also has a nice look and a large capacity. I really like front-loading models because they seem to do a better job of washing clothes as well as larger items like comforters and sleeping bags. It is fairly quiet and has a sufficient number of wash cycle options. It also lacks features that I found unnecessary, like steam cleaning and a "towels" cycle. I do wish the "default" normal cycle was still cold (like the older comparable model) vs. warm, which seems to fade and deteriorate fabrics faster.

The machine is easy to use, and I like that I don™€™t have to leave the door open to vent it since there is the Vent System. It™€™s weird that there™€™s no ™€œwhites™€ load option but I don™€™t know if that matters or not, I just run a regular load with hot water. I love that there is a sanitize load option, and that I have an option for extra water if needed. It™€™s also pretty quiet in comparison to other machines. It holds a good amount of clothes and washes my blankets without the banging you sometimes get. I™€™m very happy with my purchase.

I have had front loader washing machines for over 20 years. I would not go back to a wringer washing machine. I really like this GE. It has a big drum and does a great job of cleaning the clothes. Plus saves on water and detergent.

Lint problem

I really like the features on this washer and its cleaning performance but my biggest problem is that my clothes are coming out full of lint. It doesn™€™t seem to drain the lint out of the washer efficiently. I have been washing clothes for 55 years and have never had this problem before. I know there are good reviews about this washer so I am beginning to think that this particular washer that I received might somehow be defective. The inverter has already been replaced and the washer is only 4 months old. I would love this washer if it did not have the lint problem. This is a huge thing for me as I have had to use a lint brush and fabric shaver on my clothes.I would love to resolve this issue.

Everything went according to plan until, the door of the washer was to be changed to open from left to right, and the installer could not do it due to the door wiring harness was only on the right side of the door and none was on the left. This is making it harder to load and unload.

Just went shopping for a new washer. Had this model in white, from 2021. Replaced a pump which was a code that popped up. My warranty unfortunately was only 3 years. The pump was not the problem. No kids, no crazy amounts of laundry. 2 lodads on the weendend and bedding when needed. I tried to support american made. I could not repair the washer so now anyone that will listen Im telling them stay away from GE or atleast this set. Repair people wouldnt work on it because it was "digital" waste of 1200 dollars. Hopefully the dryer hangs on longer. I know people post reviews of a week in is great. But 4 years is outrageous. If companies arent going to make a prodcut that lasts a minimum of 10 years, dont plan on keeping return customers.

[Employee of ge_appliances] This washer is great. I had a top load and loved it until the transmission started leaking shortly after I purchased it, when I had the maintenance man come to fix it, he said it would cost as much as I purchased it for. Since I had it more than a year the warranty was no good. He told me that the best one on the market was this one and that even though top loads are great to start, the transmission goes on them within the first 5 years. So I went back to a front load GE after following up on my own research and reading many reviews. This is a great product for the price.

Large capacity. Lots of choices that may be confusing to even an intelligent person, however, I suggest reading the manual. You have to dig for the answers. The odor control vent runs approximately 8 hours. No one tells you that at the store so it's not automatic. The washer is quiet for the most part but it goes back and forth. You cannot use pods I don't think and I tried studying how to use detergent but it's too confusing. I will be contacting GE to ask exactly how. Trust me, I read the instructions but they were unclear. I tried to add a picture but system wouldn't allow. It does look as pictured in ad.

Great washing machine with finicky touch controls

So far after 2 wks use, the washer works pretty well. The tumble wash feature and spin cycle really removes most of the wash moisture, shortening dry time. The touch controls can be finicky and sometimes unresponsive to touch when trying to change settings.

Was disappointed that the door was not reversible as advertised. The hardware is reversible but the wiring for the door lock is not present on the opposite side as shown in the video, so it won't lock and be operational that way.

The capacity is shocking. I really thought just by looking at the inside, it was small compared to my Whirlpool top load which was way bigger. I truly appreciate how little uses less water to wash my loads and also how my clothes wash with care like I hand washed each individually.
