this works better than the dead 30 year old maytag it replaces. I dont think it has any cycles you hit go and it goes for hours. I have found if I let it run for an hour then shut it down its OK. The manual absolutely SUX! I would never recommend this to anyone! Spend twice as much and get a quality appliance.

We have had this dishwasher for about a week now and are still learning how to use it. I do have to tell you, my last dishwasher was a Miele, so, it's a bit of a process adjusting to the differences & not making comparisons. That said, for a basic model dishwasher, it does it's job! It's pretty quiet, and as long as we rinse off stuck-on stuff, & don't over load, it cleans beautifully! I am just so happy to have a dishwasher again! The one drawback of having one of those fancy-dancy dishwashers is this, when they break down, only THEIR SPECIALIST can fix it, & then if you have an older machine, they quit making parts! I went 3 years without a dishwasher, so, I am as happy as a clam to have my new GE Hotpoint dishwasher!!!!

I am replacing a previous hot point dishwasher that I bought used, and then put another 12 years on it. Chose this model because of the hot point brand and especially one of the least expensive dishwashers on the market. Consumer reports also rated this dishwasher four out of five stars. The five stars were three times as expensive. Have only run the dishwasher so far three times but I am very happy with how clean and dry they come out. The only trick so far is to press the start button very lightly so that the green light comes on. You can turn off the dishwasher after the cycle to save electricity and prevent the heating, otherwise don™™t open it until the green light goes off and your dishes will be dryer. The big difference between this one and my old hot point is it is much much quieter and can run at night and not interfere with watching TV. This model does not have any bells and whistles, and in fact, just has one button on the front panel. For me, simpler is better. Have yet to see if it™™s going to be as reliable as the old hot pint and time will tell. If you™™re looking for an inexpensive dishwasher though, this one looks like it fits the bill.

First I want to say that, when I can actually get the dishwasher to start, it does a fairly good job of cleaning the dishes. And bottom line, that's all that matters, I guess. But I would advise you to NOT purchase the one-button model. The one button works about half the time. In other words, you have to keep hitting the button in order to get the dishwasher to start, and then you never know if it is going to run in "normal" or "heavy duty" mode. Plus, with the one-button model, you cannot time the dishwasher to start later; it is either on or off. PLUS you can't configure it to turn off the dry cycle to save electricity. This is the model the appliance store had, and we had gone for weeks without one, so this is the one we purchased. We have to live with it, but you don't! I advise you to hold out for a model that has a few more options. And BTW, find out how much it will cost to have it installed. We paid $100 more dollars to have it installed than we paid for the actual dishwasher! ($470 for installation.) As the saying goes, "forewarned is forearmed"!

This dishwasher was installed into my house right before we moved in. It is working well and cleans dishes well. There is only normal or heavy washes as a choice. So very little features on this machine. The materials feel cheaply made. The door sticks and the tray for the dishes always comes off the tracks. This is what we were given and it works. It is also my first dishwasher. It is made to be basic and that is what it is.

I received this product a month ago. After unboxing this washer i we™™re very impressed of how it looked. I had a very modern look which look great in my kitchen with the other appliances I already have. Installing this unit were very easy to hook up without any issue at all. I love how much space it has to put majority of our dirty dishes after a big mean. It run very quit which I™™m very pleased with because I don™™t like noisy appliances which enjoying company and tv time. It has a one button cycle which make it easy for anyone in my house hold to use. It seems like the quality of the washer is very durable and will last me for awhile. The only thing negative I have to say that water were leaking out from the dishwasher after delivered. But everything worked well

Cons: I wish this dishwasher had more storage capacity for utensils. The washer doesn™™t dry the dishes. When the installer came to my house they had to put in an electrical box under my sink, so I lost storage. The pros: The washer is very quiet. Doesn™™t have many features, very basic, one push start button. Top rack holds a lot of items (pictured). The dishes were done fast. Overall satisfied!

This is a reliable dishwasher which is durable and dependable. The machine operates with a single button cycle which is easy to use and completes the entire washing and drying process. By pressing the wash button twice, it activates the heavy duty wash cycle to clean the most dirty sets of dishes there by not requiring any pre-wash of the dishes. The dishwasher is reliable and quiet during operation. It also has a top rack and a bottom rack to load the dishes based on the need. Setting it up was fairly easy and didn't require me to hire external contractor.Overall we are quite pleased.

As a man, I love this easy-operate dishwasher, just one button to kick start the dishwasher without putting any brain. It has enough rack space to put my dishes for the all-day used utensils and cleans well. I liked the separate tray for spoons and small items which is quite convenient to place all the small utensils. This dishwasher has come in you in use for our detached home very greatly. We have an able to take on a variety of dishwashing tasks that we had not before, and this dishwasher does just as good of a job as our fool size inside of our regular home. I have not owned a dishwasher and a while. The last couple that I had years ago you had to pre-wash the dishes, so what was the point. This dishwasher did a great job even on the baked on! I have an open floor plan to the house, and running of this dishwasher did not interfere with conversation or hearing the television. With the extremely simple one button design, there's no thinking about what is needed to start the machine, this would be excellent and senior type environments.

There are no fancy cycles,stop and start times on this dishwasher. One button only start! The dishwasher cleans great! Stuck on even burnt on food all clean! The only concern I have with the dishwasher is that the run time is a long over 60 minutes.
